In implementing the commitment of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia in its efforts to contribute the growth of Human Resources in the Developing Countries, and also to boost the internationalization of higher education in Indonesia by increasing the number of foreign students to study in Indonesia, we have the honour to inform you that Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Indonesia through the Directorate General of Institutional Science, Technology and Higher Education is offering foreign students from developing countries to study Master and Undergraduate Program at 16 leading universities in Indonesia which is sponsored by Beasiswa Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB).

In order to apply the Beasiswa KNB Academic Year 2017, the applicants are required to complete the administrative and academic procedures (attached herewith), and register via online www.knb.ristekdikti.go.id.

16 institutes of higher education have been appointed by Director General of Institutional Science, Technology and Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education of Indonesia to participate are as follows:

1) Institut Pertanian Bogor; 2) Institut Teknologi Bandung; 3) Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember; 4) Universitas Airlangga; 5) Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta; 6) Universitas Diponegoro; 7) Universitas Gadjah Mada; 8) Universitas Indonesia; 9) Universitas Katolik Parahiyangan; 10) Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang; 11) Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta; 12) Universitas Negeri Malang; 13) Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta; 14) Universitas Padjajaran, 15) Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, and 16) Universitas Sebelas Maret;

Considering one of the requirements that must be prepared by the applicant is to obtain a Letter of Recommendation from Embassy or Consulate Generals of Indonesia in Malaysia, we hope ‘the Beasiswa KNB Academic Year 2017’ would attract candidates with potential jobs or affiliated with the government institutions, and also the non-governmental organizations, preferably in the education sectors at primary, secondary and higher learning levels;

A total of 135 scholarships for Master Degree and 5 scholarships for Undergraduate Degree are being offered for the Academic Year 2017;

Registration online has been opened since 1 March 2017 and will be closed on 30 May 2017.

 

 

REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
BEASISWA KEMITRAAN NEGARA BERKEMBANG (KNB)
DEVELOPING COUNTRIES PARTNERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2017

 

  1. Applicants must download Surat Penawaran Beasiswa KNB (In Bahasa Indonesia) from Beasiswa Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (www.knb.ristedkdikti.go.id) ;
  1. Applicants must complete the form and provide copies of passport, a certificate of academic qualification together with the transcript, which have to be sent to either the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Kuala Lumpur or at its Consulate Generals’ Missions in Pulau Pinang; Kota Kinabalu – Sabah; Johor Bahru – Johor, and Kuching –Sarawak;
  1. Once the applicants documentations have been submitted to the Embassy/Consulate Generals of Indonesia in Malaysia, we would verify the (CGPA; current certificate of academic qualification and the institution reputation);
  1. After the documents have been verified by the Embassy/Consulate Generals and a letter have been issued by the Embassy/Consulate Generals, the applicant can then apply online via www.knb.ristekdikti.go.id;
  1. All the required documents must be scanned (Jpeg or Pdf format); maximum size of 300 kb;
  1. Registration has been opened since 1 March 2017 and the closing date is on 30 May 2017;
  1. Selection will be held in June 2017, and the results will be announced on 30 June 2017 via the Indonesia’s Overseas Missions and on the KNB Scholarship’s website;
  1. After receiving the letter of acceptance, the applicants of the Beasiswa KNB must confirm their willingness to become a participant in the KNB Scholarship Program, and be ready to leave for Indonesia on 31 August 2017 (Confirmation of the date of departure would be set upon accordingly by the applicant);
  1. The Embassy/The Consulate Generals of Indonesia in Malaysia would compile and send the confirmation letters, scanned documents and copy of passports of all candidates to Direktorat Pembinaan Kelembagaan Perguruan Tinggi, Direktorat Jenderal Kelembagaan Ilmu Pengetahuan Teknolog Pendidikan Tinggi, Kementerian Riset, Teknologi dan Pendidikan Tinggi Republik Indonesia by 25 July 2017 via email beasiswaknb@ristekdikti.go.id;
  1. Before departure the Embassy would arrange and issue a Visa Kunjungan Social Budaya (VKSB)/Social Cultural Visit Visa for a 60 days stay;
  1. E-tickets would be issued by the Riset, Teknologi dan Pendidikan Tinggi through its Indonesia’s Missions;
  1. On arrival all the participants will be met by officials from the Research, Technology, Higher Education Ministry at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Terminal 2), at a meeting point which will be confirmed later. Applicants will be involved in the centralized orientation on 1 September 2017, in Jakarta, before leaving for their designated universities on 2 September 2017, accompanied by officials from the respective universities;
